The Ventus R-S2 Z212 was created from the successful Ventus RSS Z211 racing design, brought to the street with improved road contact surface area for dry traction and a tread design featuring exceptional water dispersion for wet conditions. The result is a street tire delivering maximum grip with the proven Ventus Ultra-High Performance tread compound. The threads of the tire are are built with 3% extra width for greater traction, assuring superior performance at high speeds. The tire has an extra wide center block that maintains a steady grip on the road for sensitive steering response, it has wide shoulder blocks that help to reduce tire distortion while cornering, with increased rubber-to-road contact for greater steering control. The treads are fitted with the superior 2-ply high-density jointless nylon full cover for greater resilience, versus the standard 1-ply full cover and edge cover combination. Rayon was used over standard polyester to minimize distortion at high speeds and high temperatures.
